Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy

Cape Breton fiddlers Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy bring together two celebrated traditions in Celtic folk music. MacMaster, a member of the Order of Canada and a two-time JUNO winner, is known for her spirited fiddle playing and step-dancing; Leahy earned three JUNO Awards with his family band, Leahy. The couple’s shared recordings include One and A Celtic Family Christmas, while MacMaster’s My Roots Are Showing and In My Hands each won a JUNO. Their music pairs nimble, driving fiddle melodies with the rhythmic lift of Cape Breton dance traditions.
