Omakase Takeover at Kingbird

Michelin-Starred Chef Nobu Teams Up With Kingbird

Mondays, Now - Apr 06, 2026. 6 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Omakase Bar Takeover at Kingbird

Three Mondays during Cherry Blossom Season: March 23rd, 30th, and April 6th

Kingbird Bar at The Watergate Hotel presents an exclusive 10-seat omakase experience with Michelin-starred Nobu Yamazaki of Sushi Taro. Chef Nobu crafts a 15-course culinary journey, blending Japanese tradition with global influences, culminating in a decadent dessert. Each bite is a testament to precision and artistry.

Sushi Taro is the oldest authentic Japanese restaurant in Washington, DC, with one Michelin star four years in a row, and a spot on the Opinionated About Dining (OAD) Top 100. Nobu originally trained for three years in Japan as a sushi chef and inherited the family business from his parents. He transformed the restaurant into a high-end authentic Japanese restaurant with an omakase counter. Nobu was a semifinalist for the James Beard Mid-Atlantic Region Chef, and is president of the Washington, DC Sushi Society.

Two seatings are available each evening at 6 PM & 8:15 PM -- priced at $150 per person + 10% DC tax + 20% Gratuity. With only 10 seats per seating, reservations are essential. Secure your spot now on OpenTable  for an unforgettable Omakase experience.
