Outdoor AED Equipment Dedication & Community Celebration

Join us at Draper Drive Park to celebrate a new AED for our community!

Aug 18, 2026. 05:30 PM to 06:30 PM

The City of Fairfax and the Aliver Foundation invite residents to a free, family-friendly celebration dedicating a new outdoor AED (automated external defibrillator) at Draper Drive Park. The AED is highly visible, bright yellow, and all-weather/climate-controlled — ready to help save lives right in your neighborhood park.

What: Community celebration and AED dedication
Where: Draper Drive Park
Who: Open to all ages — free and family-friendly

Activities include:

  • Children's activities

  • Interactive CPR/AED demonstration by the City of Fairfax Fire Department

  • Meet-and-greet with first responders from Fire and Police

  • Touch-a-truck featuring emergency response vehicles

About the Aliver Foundation
The Aliver Foundation works to place outdoor AED equipment in recreation spaces and provide education and resources to communities. Its mission: increase access to visible, all-weather AED units in outdoor spaces; teach the public about cardiac arrest, CPR, and AED use (and how sudden cardiac arrest differs from a heart attack); and support survivors and their loved ones.
