A Year of Jewish Joy turns the calendar into a year of fresh and accessible celebrations worth showing up for—hungry.
Part cookbook, part entertaining toolkit, and part joyful Jewish field guide, A Year of Jewish Joy blends ancient traditions with modern charm to help you bring beauty, warmth, and creativity to Shabbat and the major Jewish holidays. Author Rebekah Lowin—affectionately dubbed a “Jewish Martha Stewart” by her readers—guides you through the traditions, blessings, and rituals that anchor Jewish life. Along the way, she shares menu ideas—including 75 recipes—plus entertaining tips, handmade details, and table inspirations.
For example:
- Welcome Rosh Hashanah with Caramelized Onion Holiday Brisket, Hawaij-Spiced Apple Galette, and individual “honey flights.”
- Kick off Hanukkah with Gelt Wrapper Flowers, Caviar-Topped Party Latkes, Brigadeiro Sufganiyot, and Olive Oil Martinis.
Lowin is a writer and content creator known for her whimsical, design-forward approach to Jewish holiday cooking, décor, craft projects, and storytelling. She will be in conversation with Rabbi Jenna Shaw of Sixth & I.
