Rishab Rikhiram Sharma

Sitarist, composer and producer Rishab Rikhiram Sharma brings Indian classical music into conversation with contemporary sounds. A fourth-generation member of the Rikhi Ram instrument-making family, he trained with Pandit Ravi Shankar, his youngest and last disciple. His catalog moves between the meditative sweep of “The Burning Ghat,” the electronic-leaning “Tandavam” and the sitar reworking “Tumhi Dekho Naa.” Through his Sitar for Mental Health initiative, Sharma also frames music as a space for reflection.
