Six Foot Blonde

Six Foot Blonde is a six-piece indie pop-rock band whose sound pairs frontwoman Julia Rusyniak’s soulful, heartfelt vocals with 1990s-alt-tinged guitars, synths and rich harmonies. Formed in Bloomington, Indiana, in 2020, the group grew from college gigs into a touring act, releasing its debut album, Ask Me How I Am, in 2024. Songs including “Carmilla” and “Perpendicular Universe” balance catchy melodies with emotional tension and a lush, layered arrangement. The band’s mix of earnest lyrics and buoyant rock energy gives listeners plenty to sing along to while still rewarding a close listen.
