Sue Foley brings a distinctive Texas-blues voice to the guitar: earthy, driving electric playing paired with a warm, expressive vocal style. The Canadian-born musician made her mark in Austin, releasing her debut, Young Girl Blues, through the city’s Antone’s label in 1992. Her Grammy-nominated One Guitar Woman turns to acoustic guitar and honors trailblazers including Memphis Minnie, Maybelle Carter and Sister Rosetta Tharpe; Pinky’s Blues finds her back in a band setting, steeped in Texas blues.
