The Suitcase Junket

The Suitcase Junket is the one-man musical project of Massachusetts songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matt Lorenz, whose dark folk draws on early blues, rock ’n’ roll and Americana. He shapes songs with a raw, handcrafted sound, heard across albums including Pile Driver, The End Is New and To Go On. Lorenz’s performance style brings an inventive, one-person-band sensibility to the music, pairing poetic songwriting with rough-edged textures and expressive vocals. The result is an intimate but full-bodied take on folk and blues, where the songs’ careful craft meets the immediacy of a live musician building a sound by hand.
