UMass Lowell River Hawks at American University Eagles Mens Basketball
Nov 28, 2026. Starting: 4:00 PM
American University’s Eagles enter their centennial season with a proud Patriot League tradition and a fresh milestone in view. Since first taking the court in 1926, the program has earned four Patriot League tournament titles and four NCAA Tournament appearances, most recently returning to March Madness in 2025. The River Hawks bring a competitive America East challenge, having reached their conference tournament semifinals in 2026. With these programs meeting for the first time as part of the Capital Thanksgiving Classic, the matchup pairs American’s championship-season momentum with UMass Lowell’s drive to test itself against new Division I opponents.
