Weedeater
Oct 15, 2026. Starting: 7:00 PM
Formed in Wilmington, North Carolina, in 1998, Weedeater have spent decades shaping a distinctive strain of Southern sludge metal. Fronted by bassist and vocalist “Dixie” Dave Collins, the band grinds together downtuned heaviness, stoner-rock groove and a rough-edged blues feel. Their catalog includes the early albums …and Justice for Y’all and Sixteen Tons, as well as God Luck and Good Speed, produced by Steve Albini and featuring a take on Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Gimme Back My Bullets.” Weedeater’s songs balance punishing weight with memorable, lurching riffs, giving their music a raw, unvarnished pull.
