Weird Phishes

Weird Phishes turns the music of Radiohead and Phish into a playful, jam-ready hybrid. Rather than simply covering either band, the group rearranges songs and weaves their melodies, riffs and rhythms together, leaving room for improvisation and unexpected turns. Past performances have paired Radiohead’s “High and Dry” with Phish’s “Chalk Dust Torture” and reimagined the full albums Kid A and The Bends in Phish-inspired style. The fun is in recognizing familiar musical fragments as they surface, shift shape and open into exploratory jams.
