Whitmer Thomas

Whitmer Thomas is a comedian, musician and actor whose stand-up moves between personal storytelling, offbeat observations and original songs. In The Golden One, he revisits his Alabama Gulf Coast upbringing, his life in Los Angeles and the legacy of his mother, weaving music and documentary footage into the comedy. His second HBO special, Terminal Crew of Dudes, brings friends and family into stories of adolescent pranks, skateboarding and an ill-fated Benihana birthday party. Thomas’s blend of candid humor and music gives everyday memories room to turn funny, tender and unexpectedly revealing.
