Are the America 250 events free?

The America 250 events organized by Freedom 250 throughout Washington, DC are free to attend, though some attractions, performances and special experiences may require visitors to request free tickets or make reservations. Do I need to register for events?

Some organizers offer event registration to help estimate attendance and share updates with participants. Registration requirements vary by event, from the Great American State Fair Kickoff Celebration with President Donald J. Trump (June 24) to the Great American State Fair (June 25 through July 10).

 

Is registration the same as a ticket?

Yes. Temporary road closures, restricted access areas and security screening will be in place throughout portions of downtown Washington, DC.
