The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum
The Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum is currently closed in conjunction with the museum's large-scale, multi-year renovation. The Museum will reopen with eight new galleries and public spaces on October 14, 2022. Additional phased reopenings of new galleries will occur in 2024 and 2025.
Timed-entry passes will be required. Visit the Museum's website at https://airandspace.si.edu for updates.
The Museum also has a second location, the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, located next to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Chantilly, Virginia. This location is open daily. Admission is also free, parking $15/car. Public transportation available via Fairfax Connector's 983 bus from the Wiehle/Reston East Metro station and Dulles Airport.
