Washington, DC Welcomes the 2024 IMF Spring Meetings

IMF Spring Meetings

The IMF Spring Meetings bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, parliamentarians, private sector executives, representatives from civil society organizations and academics to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness. Also featured are seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world's financial system. The main ministerial meetings and events will take place on April 17-19 with other events and activities taking place during the week, April 15-20.

The Spring and Annual Meetings are the only gathering of its kind in the world and a unique forum for discussion on economic policymaking. Speakers at past IMF Meetings have been - among many others - Melinda Gates, Malala Yousafzai, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Gillian Tett, Alok Sharma, Walter Isaacson, David Attenborough, and Indra Nooyi.
