Please note that the Smithsonian Anacostia Community Museum will be closed for renovations from March 15, 2019 through mid-October 2019. The renovations will include enhancing the museum’s accessibility, parking and main entrance. This museum documents and interprets the effect of historical and contemporary social and cultural issues on communities. Features dynamic changing exhibitions and public programs. Tours by appointment for groups over 14; call (202) 633-4870. Open daily 10 am - 5 pm, except Dec. 25. Free admission and parking.
