On the History of the Bible Floor, visitors discover the Bible's history, from handwritten scrolls to mobile devices, as it was embraced by many communities with different traditions. Hundreds of artifacts document the Bible's preservation, translation and transmission across the centuries, including early papyrus fragments of the New Testament, the De Bohun Book of Hours and Psalter, a beautifully illuminated medieval manuscript, and pages from the Gutenberg Bible, the first-ever printed Bible.

The Stories of the Bible Floor invites visitors to walk through the stories of the Hebrew Bible, immerse themselves in first-century Nazareth, and listen to the story of how the followers of Jesus became a thriving community. The adventure and drama of the Bible comes to life in riveting presentations!
