The National Mall

Your journey through Washington, DC begins now. Explore the National Mall and look for these three things:

(1) Straight ahead: The Washington Monument, the world’s tallest stone structure;

(2) to the right: the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, the only national museum solely dedicated to the documentation of African American life, history and culture;

(3) directly behind: the U.S. Capitol at the eastern end of the National Mall.
