Baltimore Symphony Orchestra - Lets Groove Tonight: Motown & the Philly Sound

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s Let’s Groove Tonight: Motown & the Philly Sound brings two defining strains of soul together in a lively orchestral Pops program. Under conductor Byron Stripling, the orchestra reimagines hits made famous by The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, The Spinners and Lou Rawls, pairing Motown’s polished, buoyant sound with the lush grooves of Philadelphia soul. The result moves between instantly familiar melodies and rich symphonic color, inviting listeners to revisit songs that have filled dance floors and radio waves for generations.
