Black Violin

Black Violin: The Be Free Tour brings the Grammy-nominated duo of violinist Kev Marcus and violist Wil Baptiste to Washington, D.C., with special guest Braxton Cook. Known for fusing classical strings with hip-hop, R&B and modern production, Black Violin has earned Grammy nominations for Take the Stairs and “The Message,” recorded with the Blind Boys of Alabama. Their catalog also includes Stereotypes and Full Circle, the latter developed through a collaborative full-band studio process. Cook, an alto saxophonist, singer-songwriter and composer, joins the October 2 performance at the Warner Theatre.
