Chris Botti

Chris Botti is a Grammy-winning trumpeter whose singing tone and fluid phrasing move easily between jazz, pop and classical influences. His recordings pair familiar melodies with expressive, often orchestral arrangements: When I Fall in Love reimagines standards including “What’ll I Do,” while Italia explores music connected to his Italian heritage. Botti won the 2013 Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album with Impressions, which includes a collaboration with Andrea Bocelli on “Per Te (For You).” The appeal is in hearing a distinctive trumpet voice bring fresh color and intimacy to songs that span genres and generations.
