Garrison Starr blends country twang, folk-rock and pop-minded songwriting into songs shaped by sharp melodies and candid storytelling. The Mississippi-born singer-songwriter made her major-label debut with Eighteen Over Me in 1997, and has continued to write and release music across a career spanning more than two decades. Her catalog includes the fan-favorite “Superhero,” the reflective The Girl That Killed September and Girl I Used to Be; she also co-wrote songs featured in the television series "Nashville". Starr’s mix of rootsy grit and clear-eyed, personal lyrics gives her songs an intimate pull, whether they arrive quietly or with a rock edge.
