Jingle Block Rock

SWBID and neighborhood partners are hosting Jingle Block Rock, transforming the streets around the Southwest Duck Pond and Waterfront Station into a festive celebration filled with holiday cheer.

Pictures with Santa, snow foam, jazz music from Westminster Church, Amidon-Bowen and Jefferson School performances, and a Step Afrika Meet & Greet will all be part of the festivities. Enjoy hot chocolate, a coat and book drive, and the chance to create your own ornament and stocking.

There will also be donut decoration, a choir from Christ United, stilt walkers, and opportunities to send letters to Santa. Additionally, there will be photos with snowmen, crafts, and a station passport scavenger hunt for raffled off prizes.

Don’t miss the Pet Ugly Sweater Contest! Show off your pet’s festive fashion by sending a photo of your furry friend in their best (or worst!) holiday sweater to [email protected] by November 19. All the photos will be displayed on a community board, and during the event, everyone is invited to vote for their favorites. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, so bring your family and cheer on your favorite pet!
