Dupont Brass takes the big stage in Dupont Circle Park + the BID hosts a raffle for local gift cards & gives out back-to-school backpacks!
Come down for a SPECIAL EDITION of Music in the Circle, Dupont Circle's weekly rotating live concert series held in Dupont Circle Park.
At noon on Saturday, August 22nd, we will be joined by the aptly named DuPont Brass! DuPont Brass is a dynamic 10-piece ensemble from the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region that blends jazz, hip-hop, R&B, and soul into their signature sound, "Eclectic Soul." Formed at Howard University, the group rose from busking in Metro stations to performing on stages across the country, captivating audiences with high-energy performances and exceptional musicianship.
In addition to touring nationwide, DuPont Brass is dedicated to music education and has collaborated with organizations including ESPN, the NFL, Bose, and Sesame Street. Their latest album, Professional Development, explores themes of mental health, loss, and personal growth while showcasing the group's innovative sound and boundary-pushing artistry.
In additionto this performance ON STAGE, the BID will be having a raffle for gift cards valid at local businesses around the neighborhood! To enter, attend the event with a picnic and we will go around and give out raffle tickets. Three differennt winners will be drawn at the end of the event. Also, we will also be having a back-to-school backpack giveaway while supplies last during the event, so make sure to get there on time with your kids!
Swing by Dupont Circle Park on the afternoon of Saturday, August 22nd to enjoy some bumping tunes played with all live instruments, on stage, as well as enter into our picnic raffle and pick up your free back-to-school bag!
