NMWA Nights—November

Women in sculpture will be featured in NMWA’s monthly after-hours event, inspired by the exhibition Beverly Pepper: Land Art and Monumental Sculptures. Pepper often worked at a massive scale, evoking energy and strength. Ten of her large-scale works are installed outside as part of the newly expanded New York Avenue Sculpture Corridor.
Visitors are invited to contribute ideas for the design of the Women's Suffrage National Monument in an interactive design workshop and to experience sculptures in NMWA’s collection.
The evening will also feature a soon to be announced, interactive art collaboration with DMV artist Tyler Sanville. Tyler is a modern fiber artist and instructor, specializing in punch needle, tufting, frame loom weaving, and embroidery. Her practice is shaped by a 16-year career in environmental advocacy, drawing continual inspiration from the natural world. Blending traditional textile techniques with contemporary expression, she uses bold colors, rich textures, and depth to explore the emotional impact of landscapes, ecosystems, and environmental change.
Tickets and Drinks: Ticket includes two drinks; additional drinks for purchase. $25 general; $22 seniors/students; $20 members. Free for Explorer Members ($180+) and above. Reservations required; tickets go on sale on November 4.
