A special edition of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA)’s popular monthly after-hours event
Step into an evening where past and present intertwine. Wander through Women Artists from Antwerp to Amsterdam, 1600-1750, and discover the stories of inspiring women artists who pushed boundaries with their creativity and resilience, carving out their place in history. Hear from Holley Simmons, founder and owner of the DC-based flower shop She Loves Me, as she explores the art of flower arranging, the economies of flowers, and what we can learn from flower images from the 16th century. Take inspiration from the exhibition and try your hand at a still life drawing of bouquets inspired by the exhibition. Learn how to reflex a tulip to take home with you and listen to a smooth international set by DJ M$NP.
Ticket includes two drinks; additional drinks for purchase. $25 general; $22 seniors/students; $20 NMWA members. Free for Explorer Members ($180+) and above. Reservations required; Tickets go on sale on November 5 at 10 am.
