O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) is an American rock band that emerged from the collegiate music scene in the mid-1990s and built one of the most loyal fan followings in modern touring music. Formed by childhood friends from Maryland, the band developed its reputation through relentless touring, grassroots promotion, and a strong emphasis on live performance long before achieving mainstream recognition. Their sound combines elements of rock, reggae, folk, pop, and jam-band improvisation, creating music that balances radio-friendly songwriting with the spontaneity and energy of extended live arrangements. Led by vocalist and guitarist Marc Roberge, O.A.R. has become known for crafting songs that resonate with audiences through themes of friendship, personal growth, adventure, relationships, and life's defining moments.

A defining characteristic of O.A.R.'s career is the deep connection the band has cultivated with its fan base through live concerts. Their performances often feature expanded versions of songs, audience interaction, and musical improvisation that make each show unique while preserving the emotional core of their material. Unlike many bands that found success through traditional industry channels, O.A.R. built its audience organically through college campuses, word-of-mouth support, and a reputation for consistently delivering memorable concerts. Over the course of multiple decades, the group has remained a fixture on the touring circuit, earning respect for its musicianship, longevity, and ability to blend introspective songwriting with uplifting, communal live experiences that keep fans returning year after year.
