Get expert preservation insight as you help restore the historic buildings at President Lincoln’s Cottage!

Old house aficionados and novice craftspeople alike can join us for this Preservation Month clinic on doors. Participants will assist Director of Preservation Jeff Larry and Historic Buildings and Grounds Technician Seth Young in restoring doors in the Cottage, which date back to the mid 1800s. Learn how to replace hardware, make wood and epoxy repairs, and cope with rot using historic techniques. An exclusive experience for those looking to have an up-close and hands-on encounter with the building Lincoln lived in.
Please wear clothes you can get dirty; the clinic will be hands on work.
We’ll finish with a Hard Hat Happy Hour – picnic lunch and drinks included. Come hang out!
