Rachael & Vilray bring a fresh, witty take to the romance of classic jazz and Tin Pan Alley pop. The duo pairs Lake Street Dive vocalist Rachael Price’s expressive voice with singer, guitarist and songwriter Vilray’s sharp, story-rich originals, drawing on the musical language of the standards they both love. Their albums include the self-titled 2019 debut and I Love a Love Song!, with songs such as “Any Little Time,” “Is a Good Man Real?” and “Hate is the Basis (of Love).” Onstage, they sing to each other and share the stories behind the songs, making the exchange between voice, guitar and lyrics part of the show’s charm.
