Radford Highlanders at American University Eagles Mens Basketball
Nov 27, 2026. Starting: 4:00 PM
A century of American University basketball meets the Radford Highlanders in this NCAA Division I matchup. The Eagles enter their 2026–27 centennial season with four NCAA Tournament appearances and four Patriot League tournament titles, including a return to March Madness in 2025. Radford brings its own postseason history: the Highlanders have reached the NCAA Tournament three times, most recently in 2018. As the teams face off in the Capital Thanksgiving Classic, the appeal is the contrast between American’s Patriot League tradition and Radford’s Big South roots—two programs looking to make their mark on the early-season court.
