Revealing the Untold Heritage of the Punjabi Psalter

Oct 31, 2026. 5:30 PM - 7:45 PM EDT

Museum of the Bible invites you to discover a remarkable expression of Christian worship in the global South Asian context. The Punjabi Psalter, crafted in the late nineteenth century as a metrical translation of Psalms set to indigenous Punjabi musical forms, continues to shape the devotional life of Punjabi Christian communities across the world.

On Saturday, October 31, you will get the opportunity to see the riches of the Punjabi Psalter through a special exhibition featuring:

  • Dr. Yousaf Sadiq, who will uncover its captivating history, theology, and significance

  • A live choral performance bringing these poetic psalms to life

  • Rare artifacts and historical materials spotlighting the artistic, musical, and faith heritage of Punjabi Christians

Join us for this immersive celebration of Scripture, song, and spiritual identity. Food and refreshments will also be served.
