Sylvan Esso brings its electro-pop sound to 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. The North Carolina duo pairs Amelia Meath’s expressive vocals with Nick Sanborn’s inventive electronic production, creating dance-oriented songs that blend indie pop, folk, and club music. Their self-titled 2014 debut established the project, while What Now and Free Love each earned Grammy nominations for Best Dance/Electronic Album. The duo is also known for songs including “Coffee,” “Die Young,” and “Radio,” which showcase its balance of bright hooks, textured beats, and emotionally direct songwriting.
