America's Story Lives Here! A National Historic Landmark on a 5 ½ acre estate in Georgetown, Tudor Place was built by a family George Washington loved. It was home, from 1805 to 1983, to six generations of his wife's descendants. A model of Federal-period architecture designed by architect William Thornton, it stood at the center of early Washington society.
Tudor Place Historic House & Garden is currently closed due to a recent rise in Covid-19 cases in the region.
