Celebrate America 250 at Tudor Place



Celebrate 250 years of history at Tudor Place! Bring a picnic, visit the exhibit, enjoy crafts and treats.

Tudor Place invites you to enjoy the garden and view our America 250 exhibit, “Founding Fortunes: The Estate Sale of Martha Washington” on Sunday, July 5. The 5 1/2 acre garden is a perfect oasis in Georgetown. Bring a picnic*, bring a book, bring your curiosity for knowledge!


Special Programming for the Day:



  • Temple Portico Door open from 1:00pm to 2:00pm

  • Collection items from 1876 & 1976 on display

  • Walk-through tours of Founding Fortunes exhibition

  • Art activities

  • Treats (while supplies last)

  • Civic Season Wish Wall


Gates will close at 3:30 p.m., but the garden will be open until 4:00 p.m. This program is free with a suggested donation of $5.


*No red beverages permitted
