Washington, DC—Kicking off on Friday, May 18, the National Gallery of Art's 2018 Jazz in the Garden lineup features acclaimed musicians presenting a wide variety of jazz styles—swing, funk, hip-hop, Latin, go-go, ska, Dixieland, blues, and more. Every Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. through August 24, 2018, the Gallery will invite visitors to find a seat among the monumental works of art in the Sculpture Garden and enjoy one of the city's favorite summertime activities. To date, more than 1,735,000 visitors have started their weekend off with the long-standing concert series.

Highlights of this year's schedule include the 12th year of collaboration between Jazz in the Garden and the DC Jazz Festival with a performance by the Michael Thomas Quintet on June 15. Visitors can enjoy new additions to the outdoor grill menu—lemongrass chicken soft tacos, Argentinian sausage, and a southwest black bean barbeque burger—as well as to the Pavilion Café's menu indoors—a horseradish roast beef sandwich, edamame noodle bowl, and citrus quinoa salad.
