Pre-Pride Party in Dupont Circle

Catch live indie music by LGBTQ+ band Pet Names, enjoy food and drink specials in the neighborhood, and pregame for the Pride Parade!

Jun 20, 2026. From: 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Get ready for Pride here in Dupont Circle, DC's historic gay neighborhood!

At the Pre-Pride Party on P, you can catch live music in Shevchecko Park (2200 P St. NW) by Pet Names, enjoy exclusive food and drink specials at participating bars and restaurants in the neighborhood, and get ready for the Pride Parade happening a few blocks away. Plus, we're decking out P Street in awesome Pride decorations... it's a party in Dupont Circle!

Pet Names is a Maryland-based duo playing folk, rock, and beyond. They've got the perfect tunes to hype you up and get you in the spirit for Pride!

Partners in both music and in life, Camila (guitar) and Maggie (bass) co-write all of their original music. Their sound is rooted in rich vocal harmonies and lively instrumentals, with lyrics that range from thoughtful to tongue-in-cheek. They draw inspiration across decades and genres—Washington City Paper wrote that their debut EP, Hey Hi Hello, “effortlessly pair[s] early aughts indie sensibilities with classic rock.”

Pet Names will be playing Shevchenko Park just near Dupont Circle from 12-3, and local restaurants will have awesome food and drink specials to get you ready for the rest of the day. RSVP here for FREE to be the first to know about the participating restaurants and their deals!
