"Red Tails" Screening

Join us for the next film in the National Air and Space Museum's 50th Anniversary Film Series.

Sep 28, 2026. From: 07:00 PM to 09:15 PM

Join us as we continue National Air and Space Museum 50th Anniversary Film Series with an after-hours screening of Red Tails (2012)

A crew of African American pilots in the Tuskegee training program, having faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard.

Subjected to intense racism at home, the African-American pilots known as the Tuskegee Airmen are given a rare opportunity to prove their bravery in the fight over Europe. Flying the latest aircraft with distinctive tails painted red, the fighter squadron must overcome adversity in its many forms.

Please note: This is not an IMAX presentation.

Tickets cost $13 adults and $10 for seniors and children and are available for purchase on the Smithsonian Theaters website.
