Words on Fire is an exciting open mic event for DCPS students in grades 8 - 12 to share their voices and perform their own original poetry. On Saturday, March 7, 2026, students are invited to take the stage at the Planet Word Museum for an afternoon of creativity, self-expression, and community. Whether you’re a seasoned poet or stepping up to the mic for the first time, this event is a powerful space for students to be heard, supported, and inspired.
