Upper Northwest is home to this pizza parlor/ping pong establishment that also triples as a music venue. Order a delicious pie from the wood-burning oven and strike up a game of table tennis, or simply hang out with your pals at one of the many tables or booths. Note that when concerts occur, the ping pong tables are set aside.
Located just a few blocks from Capital One Arena, this 13,000 square-foot subterranean spot is a fun place for sports thanks to a game-focused setup that includes ping pong tables, trivia nights, cornhole leagues, beer pong tournaments, shuffleboard, foosball and giant Jenga. A gamer’s paradise, one could say. There are plenty of brews to go around, as well.
On Tuesday nights from 4 p.m. until 12 a.m., breadsoda goes nuts with ping pong (free to play) and tacos (the latter are on sale from 4-11 p.m.). Two tables are set up, so make sure to claim one and feel free to hold your own tournament. The Wisconsin Avenue spot also offers plenty of other free games, including darts, checkers, chess and backgammon.
It’s one big party at Hook Hall, a 13,000-square-foot space near Petworth where you could spend all day eating, drinking and playing games. The indoor cafe has everything you need to start your day – caffeine, WiFi and quick bites – and serves double-duty as a bar complete with ping pong tables and shuffleboard. There's also an outside space where you’ll find a turf-lined beer garden with 30-plus draught lines, a rotating cast of food trucks and Adirondack chairs for relaxing.
This hipster enclave in Park View doubles as a cafe and bar. During the day, combine coffee with some epic table tennis. At night, enjoy the bar’s offerings while you conquer a friend or colleague in ping pong. You can also bring your whole crew to the Club, just make sure to call ahead if there’s going to be eight or more of you.
