America’s Food & Music Festival is back! The 34th Annual Giant Barbecue Battle returns June 27–28 for a weekend of world-class barbecue, live music and summer activity in Washington, DC. This year’s theme, “American Cuisine Is World Cuisine,” shapes the experience across the Barbecue Battle. It celebrates how generations have brought flavors from around the world and made them their own, with barbecue standing as one of its most iconic expressions.

That idea comes to life at the Giant World of Flavors Sampling Pavilion, where you can explore bites from nearly 20 countries, with embassies and international brands taking part, turning Pennsylvania Avenue into a global tasting tour. This is where American BBQ meets the world.

Come hungry. The event offers 100+ free samples, while supplies last, from the Taste of Giant and Taste of Summer to specialty pavilions and tasting areas.

Beyond the samples, Restaurant Row features barbecue restaurants from across the country, serving delicious smoked meats, sides and desserts. You can also catch live cooking demonstrations led by celebrity chefs and TV personalities at the Giant Fresh Ideas Stage, the DPR Family Stage and the Kingsford Great American Grilling Stage. The stars will share their techniques, recipes and tips you can take home.

Music is a constant presence at the festival, with live entertainment unfolding across six stages all weekend long. The lineup spans rock, reggae, jazz, blues, R&B, reggaeton and DC’s own Go-Go, keeping the momentum going from start to finish.

The Pepsi Lay’s Art to Go-Go Stage and Pepsi World Music Stage set the tone, with performances in many other areas. Wherever you go, the music is never far.

The DPR Family Fun Zone offers rides and games, while interactive exhibits and open areas provide plenty of room to explore and unwind.

Kids can enjoy hands-on activities while adults explore the food, music and tastings, making it easy to spend the entire day together. There’s enough variety to keep everyone engaged.
