Learn and practice how to become a historian through graphic art and comics
Students in grades 10 to 12, join the NMAAHC and special guest Tim Fielder to learn and practice how to become a historian through graphic art and comics. First, you will learn the process that historians do to investigate history. Second, you will use the stories and objects in our special exhibition Afrofuturism, A History of Black Futures, to find sources and inspiration for your graphic art. Lastly, we will discuss how to interpret history through graphic art and comics with special guest Tim Fielder. By the end of the workshop, you will have the knowledge and tools to explore and create history through graphic art on your own!
This workshop is designed for grades 10 to 12. Lunch will be provided.
