Black History in Motion: Walking Tour Edition is a guided cultural walking tour through Washington, DC, connecting place, history, and storytelling in meaningful ways. This reflective experience offers an intimate exploration of Black history during Black History Month.
On this 2-hour experience, you’ll:
- Walk through iconic DC sites and lesser-known spaces that reveal hidden histories
- Explore themes of visibility and invisibility in Black history
- Hear stories from Freedom Plaza, Lafayette Square, the National Mall, and more
- Reflect on what is honored in public spaces, what is missing, and why that matters
End-of-Tour Highlights
At the conclusion of the tour, guests will be able to:
- Explore exhibits at the National Museum of African American History and Culture with a free, timed-entry ticket,
