SATCHVAI Band featuring Joe Satriani and Steve Vai

Among the pantheon of guitar legends stand Joe Satriani and Steve Vai who bring their first-ever US tour to an electrifying conclusion at the Filene Center. As a performer and teacher, Satriani toured with Mick Jagger and Deep Purple and helped shape the paths of guitarists from Metallica, Primus, and Third Eye Blind. Vai, who has toured with Frank Zappa and David Lee Roth, is featured on countless releases from Ozzy Osbourne to Spinal Tap. Celebrating five decades of musical friendship, the two guitarists share highlights from their solo and collaborative endeavors, including SATCHVAI’s rock opus “The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1.”

Described as “the future of creative, heavy virtuoso guitar playing” by Vai, DC-based instrumental prog-metal band Animals as Leaders opens the show.
