Yom Kippur at Sixth & I

Yom Kippur at Sixth & I

Sep 21, 2026. 9:30 am

If you’re Jewish, Jew-ish, or just spiritually seeking, we want you to feel connected to both the themes of the New Year and to our community, whether you’re sitting in one of our historic pews or on your couch at home.

Co-led by Sixth & I Rabbi Jenna Shaw and guest Rabbi Jason Kimelman-Block, this experience will embody Sixth & I’s core values of accessibility and learning by blending all the elements of a traditional High Holiday service with contemporary interpretations and explanations. During services, most prayers are in Hebrew, with accompanying intentions in English. In-person attendees will use a Reconstructionist prayerbook with full transliterations and translations. Virtual attendees can follow along in a digital version.
