PCMA Southeast Chapter Social Event & Southeast Mission (Oct. 3-5; Atlanta, GA)

The team proactively focused on uncovering new leads and invested time in advancing tentative opportunities to enhance DC’s meeting portfolio. Tiffany and Priscilla networked with clients from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Puerto Rico. DDC targeted the following customers:

Northeast CVB Reps Fall Client Retreat (Oct. 6-7; North Falmouth, MA)

Each member brought one planner to a weekend retreat. A total of 22 clients attended. DDC targeted the following customers:

IMEX America (Oct. 11-13; Las Vegas, NV)
Attendees: Elliott Ferguson, Melissa Riley, Bill Adams, Dianna Waldroup  John Sklencar, Jared Kolleh, Patricia Najar, Susan O'KeefeIMEX America is one of the world's leading trade shows for the meetings, incentives, conferences and events (MICE) market. Over three days, more than 4,000 carefully selected buyers took part in pre-scheduled appointments with global suppliers. There were 4,339 hosted buyers from 65 countries. DDC held 116 individual appointments, seven group presentations and 220 individual contact engagements. Additionally, DDC President & CEO Elliott Ferguson and Melissa Riley held a press conference that covered all things DC. Melissa also spoke on an IMEX panel. The team hosted a luncheon with McVeigh Associates, John attended a CVBRepsWest breakfast and DDC targeted the following customers:

Washington International Association Forum (WIAF) (Oct. 19-20; Washington, DC)

DC hosted the first North American edition of an association-led forum also held in Brussels and Geneva. Under the theme of “a world in motion – taking the discussion on international developments to the next level,” WIAF convened North America-based international associations and non-profit organizations to exchange knowledge and share best practices. DDC facilitated a think tank session on how a destination can help associations meet with a purpose for greater value and targeted the following customers:

More than 170 leaders from the IEEE conferences community gathered around the topic of creating thriving conferences in an evolving landscape. IEEE represents more than 422,000 members in 160 countries across 46 societies. Their 2,000+ annual conferences are organized by volunteer members, so DDC seized the opportunity to engage with conference chairs, society leaders and the IEEE Meetings, Conferences & Events staff. DDC targeted the following societies:
