ASAE’s Great Ideas Conference (March 1-3, Salt Lake City, Utah)

ASAE’s Great Ideas Conference is a flagship innovation conference for association professionals to connect, learn and collaborate. The conference provided education and connection with potential clients.
Convention Sales Professionals International (CSPI) 29th Annual Conference and Business Meeting (Feb. 4, Washington, DC)

CSPI is the only professional association dedicated to fostering collaborative success between convention sales professionals and their counterparts at convention centers, convention hotels and regional destination marketing organizations. This year, opening keynote speaker Shawna Suckow discussed how the buying behaviors of consumers is constantly changing. Also, case studies and roundtable talks, specifically dealing with the destinations and conventions centers, were hosted throughout the show.
Meetings Industry Council (MIC) of Colorado Annual Conference and Trade Show and Denver Sales Mission (March 9-13, Denver, CO)

The MIC is a coalition of 13 Colorado-area hospitality organizations that collaborate to produce the Colorado Educational Conference and Trade Show each March in Denver, which featured approximately 1,200 participants and 130 trade show exhibitors. The MIC’s purpose is to enhance collaboration among participating organizations through networking and education while being the main source for industry knowledge and consultation. Outside of the two-day conference, DDC held approximately a dozen appointments with Denver-area clients. Targeted accounts include customers in both the corporate and association sectors, as well as select intermediary partners.
