Destination Celebration (April 10-12, Kansas City, MO & Minneapolis, MN)

Destination Celebration is a multi-city trade show giving DDC exposure to Kansas City and Minneapolis-area clients. The show also focuses on bringing awareness to Global Meetings Industry Day. The initiative from the Meetings Mean Business Coalition gathers industry leaders to showcase the impact that business meetings, conferences, trade shows and exhibitions have on people, business and communities.
American Society of Association Executives Xperience Design Project (April 19-20, Gaylord National Harbor, MD)
Attendees: Caitlin Nicolson, Alison Ricketts & Laura Vargo
ASAE XDP is a two-day business-focused experience for association professionals and partners. The new version of the event allows partners and top association professionals to collaborate on industry issues in an interactive learning environment. The Business Exchange is filled with one-on-one meetings and discussion of upcoming meetings and events.
Florida Sales Mission (April 24-25, Orlando & Daytona Beach, FL)
Attendee: Alex Dietel
Alex will visit various association customers who have current and/or potential business for the DC area. Accounts include Institute of Internal Auditors, Association of Public Safety Communications Officials and American Academy of Optometry.
Texas Sales Mission (April 25-27, Texas)
Attendee: Sharmane Fernandez-Medaris
Sharmane will target SMERF, third parties and government markets that have new and repeat business opportunities for Washington, DC. Customers include the Military Child Fund Coalition, the University of Houston, Joel Osteen Ministries, the New Hope Initiative, the American Sewing Guild and the Travis Manion Foundation.
IAEE Women’s Leadership Forum (April 30 – May 1, Washington, DC)
Attendees: Melissa Riley, Carol Motley, Dianna Waldroup, Alex Dietel, Caitlin Nicolson, Alison Ricketts, Carleigh Dworetzky
The conference focuses on topics that are unique to women in the exhibitions and events industry. The forum will provide knowledge and strategies for attendees to succeed in their current positions, as well as motivation and inspiration to grow career trajectory.
