Date Nights DC Itinerary: Heat it Up, Harry!

Blend in with Muggles at the Smithsonian Castle. Built in 1855, the Castle could be mistaken for DC’s Hogwarts, and it may even have its own ghost. The founder of the Smithsonian, James Smithson, is buried here.

The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden presents modern and contemporary art in a range of media. While you’re here, be sure to visit all three floors of gallery space and the bi-level sculpture garden with works by Rodin, Matisse, Koons, Calder and more.

Leave your tuck box untouched and file into Elephant & Castle Pub and Restaurant for a traditional British experience. No butter beer here, but the pub offers Anglophile faves like fish and chips and Sheperd's Pie.

Bunk at the Henley Park Hotel like it’s your own private Gryffindor. This boutique hotel has the feel of an old English country house with fireplaces, stained glass windows and gargoyles to spare.
