Allegory Named Home to the World's Best Cocktail Menu
Washington, DC's cocktail scene is once again earning global acclaim after Allegory, the acclaimed bar inside Eaton DC, was named World's Best Cocktail Menu at the 2026 Spirited Awards. Presented during the annual Tales of the Cocktail conference in New Orleans, the awards are among the hospitality industry's most prestigious honors. Allegory topped finalists from Bangkok, Paris and Singapore, marking another major win for the District's thriving bar scene.

District Sustainability Awards – Embassy Suites
Congratulations to Embassy Suites, who were recently recognized at the District Sustainability Awards presented by the DC Department of Energy and Environment. The District Sustainability Awards highlight businesses, individuals and organizations in the community working toward a more sustainable DC. Award winners are selected based on projects and programs that support the Sustainable DC plan, which aims to make the District the nation’s healthiest, greenest and most livable city for all residents.
DC JazzFest and Grand Prix Informational Webinar

Howard University invites local businesses and organizations to recruit talented students at its On-Campus & Part-Time Employment Fair on Thursday, Aug. 20 (11 a.m. – 2 p.m.).
To register your company for the fair, please follow the steps below:
- Register your company as an employer account on Handshake.
- Complete the registration link for the On-campus & Part-Time Employment Fair.
- Receive a confirmation email registering you for the fair.

The DC Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) presents Dine All Night 2026: an exceptional culinary event to showcase your business's culinary talents to a diverse audience of food enthusiasts and art lovers. All consumer-facing, licensed, brick-and-mortar food businesses and food trucks are eligible to participate in Dine All Night. Home-based and online-only businesses are ineligible.
