The Hay-Adams Earns Two Michelin Keys
The Hay-Adams was elevated from one to two Michelin Keys in the 2026 Michelin Guide, honoring the downtown luxury hotel as an exceptional stay. The Key distinguishes hotels that deliver memorable experiences with character, charm and considerable care. The Hay-Adams was among the first U.S. properties to receive a Key in 2024 and was recognized again in 2025.

Is Your Sustainability Story RFP-Ready?
RFP season is here, and sustainability is increasingly shaping the shortlist. According to the Alō Index, 97% of hotels with sustainability certifications won corporate business, compared with 70% of non-certified hotels.
As Coast Bastion Nanaimo General Manager David McQuinn puts it, “Every RFP for groups and conventions meetings [wants us to] tell them about our sustainability initiatives. They will no longer book with your hotel unless you have some form of certification. So, it's not kind of important; it's wildly important.”

WACIF Opens Applications for HIVE Membership
The Washington Area Community Investment Fund (WACIF) has officially launched applications for HIVE, its upcoming coworking and community space designed to support entrepreneurs, businesses and nonprofits. With a goal of reaching 100 applications by Oct. 30, WACIF is building its membership community ahead of the HIVE’s reopening, with a limited number of desks and offices available.
DC Flight Takes Off in the Nation’s Capital
Washington, DC’s first professional volleyball team is gearing up for its inaugural 2027 season! DC Flight unveiled its brand identity and named The Anthem in DC’s Wharf neighborhood as its home court, where fans can catch 13 home matches beginning in Jan. 2027.
