DOMESTIC CONVENTION SALES: Promotions, Sales Calls, Trade Shows and Events

The team’s proactive efforts resulted in 66 presentations, client sales calls and in-person meetings in February. Highlights included:

Destination 360 New York Fashion Week Partnership Event (Feb. 8-10, New York, NY)
Attendees: Melissa Riley, John Sklencar
The event was held in partnership with the Destination 360 Group (DMC) and targeted clients in New York City and New Jersey. The first evening featured a reception in New Jersey with 25 meeting planners while the second included a Sip and Stitch event with Anthony Luciano, where 20 different clients made handbags. The final event was the Cuccelelli Shahenn NYFW Fashion Show, with 25 clients attending a pre-event for networking. DDC targeted the following customers:

A Culinary Experience with Elliott (Feb. 12, Washington, DC)
Attendees: Elliott Ferguson, Dianna Waldroup, Shirley Del Carpio
DDC hosted an intimate culinary experience at Elliott Ferguson’s home, inviting clients to connect in a unique setting where each embraced their inner chef by rolling, slicing and savoring the art of sushi. DDC targeted the following customers:

AMC Institute (AMCI) Annual Meeting (Feb. 14-16, Las Vegas, NV)
Attendees: Melissa Riley, Katherine Russo, Megan Fariel
AMCI's premier business event connects members, partners and industry leaders and provides opportunities to learn, share and grow. DDC hosted a client dinner and cocktail reception with key customers, which included the following:

New York Society of Association Executives (NYSAE) Meet NY (Feb. 27, New York, NY)
Attendees: Melissa Riley, John Sklencar, Priscilla Alvarez
Meet NY is the largest hosted buyer hospitality event in the Northeast. It is a one-of-a-kind gathering of more than 500 association and not-for-profit leaders, convention, corporate and meetings professionals and their hospitality and vendor partners. The event included industry education, a mini-trade show, networking, a cocktail reception and a Broadway show. DDC targeted the following customers:

HelmsBriscoe Florida Roadshow Sales Mission (Feb. 27-29, Tampa and Orlando, FL)
Attendees: Brandon Murray, Megan Fariel
DDC met with more than 15 HelmsBriscoe associates to provide insights on the changing DC landscape. The team also presented the new “There’s Only One DC” marketing campaign. In 2023, DDC generated more than 800 tentative leads with HelmsBriscoe associates.

In attendance were approximately 200 buyers and suppliers representing brands from around the world.
