Insider's Guide: Capital Riverfront

01

Explore The Yards Park

Two people walk across the illuminated Yards Park Bridge at dusk, surrounded by its signature curved metal arches.

Enjoy the riverfront view from The Yards Park, a 5.4-acre oasis along the Anacostia River ideal for a scenic break or leisurely walk. Relax on the expansive grass steps leading down to the marina or explore the distinctive Yards Park Bridge with picture-perfect views. Since its completion in 2010, the park has become a lively destination with seasonal highlights like outdoor movies, a farmers market and complimentary fitness classes organized by the Capitol Riverfront BID.

To enjoy the riverfront with a taste of local flavor, visit District Winery. This glass-enclosed urban winery offers seasonal bites on the patio and immersive tours, where guests can learn about winemaking and sample a flight of five in-house wines at the tasting bar.

The Yards diverse dining scene ensures there’s something for everyone. Agua 301 serves contemporary Mexican cuisine, while Albi offers modern Levantine flavors from James Beard award-winning chef Michael Rafidi. Osteria Morini features hearty Italian dishes inspired by Northern Italy. And if you're craving something sweet, stop by Ice Cream Jubilee.

Before or after the game, visit The Bullpen next door—an outdoor venue with live music, food and drinks for the full DC game day experience.
