WalkingTown DC, the longest running program offered by Cultural Tourism DC (CTDC) begins on Saturday, September 14 with a full-day of walking and biking tours in every quadrant of the District of Columbia.

For the 19th time in its 20-year history, Cultural Tourism DC will host an array of free, guided tours of the District of Columbia through Sunday, September 22. This year’s edition of WalkingTown DC boasts 75 tours, including 18 new or updated versions of tours previously offered. CTDC and its presenting partner, Events DC introduces tour-goers to the art, culture, neighborhoods, and history of Washington, DC through a series of “bite-size” lunchtime tours, after-work “happy hour” tours, and tours throughout the day on weekends.

“Taking a WalkingTown is one of the best ways to learn the secrets of Washington, DC,” according to Steve Shulman, executive director of Cultural Tourism DC. “The tour guides have a passion for learning and sharing their knowledge with others. Whether you have lived here your entire life or you’re a recent arrival, you are sure to learn something that makes you think, ‘Wow. I didn’t know that.’”
